Please join me to give a huge TDK welcome to our Caturday Star Kit, Waldo. He is a 9 year old Maine Coon mix from Los Gatos, CA.
Waldo came to live with us at the same time as Webster (shown separately). The lady at the adoption faire told us that if we liked Webster, they had another kitten that looked almost just like Webster. We said “Sure! Why not?” and so it was!.
Waldo was a bit more of a scaredy-cat than Webster, and preferred to hide. One morning we looked all over for him to no avail. Finally, I caught sight of a pair of ears behind some books on the shelf. The name “Waldo” came from the “Where’s Waldo” books for obvious reasons!
One photo shows Waldo shortly after he arrived at our home, under the futon in his acclimatization room. Another photo shows Waldo in his hiding place behind the books. Finally one picture shows him several years later in flagrante delicto with his buddy Ramey who is now our eldest cat at age 19 or so.
Please join me to meet and greet our newest Star Kit, Webster. He is a 9 year old Maine Coon mix from Los Gatos, CA.
My wife and I visited an adoption fair at a local pet store, and fell in love with this twitchy kitten who had rubbed his whiskers to stubs on the cage. When I held him in my arms, his purr was about six times larger than he was, so we had to take him home (with another cat that looks almost just like him. More about Waldo later.)
Webster almost immediately bonded to me and follows me around whenever I’m home. He will sit on my lap and knead for half an hour or more. The first picture shows him a few weeks after we brought him home. The second photo shows him mostly grown up into a handsome young cat. Now at about nine years old, he’s gotten even larger, but is still my “fuzzy buddy”!
Please join me to meet and greet our newest Star Kit, Keller. She is a 16 week old Blue Mitted Ragdoll from Waterdown, Ontario.
Keller is the new love of my life. His name means “little companion”. I just bought my first house so I am finally allowed to have pets but felt I wouldn’t be home enough to have a dog (plus I don’t have a yard). Anyhow, after much contemplation and consideration I ended up choosing a Ragdoll (known as the puppies of the cat world).
Keller stole my heart the day I met him. He is so sweet, cuddly, affectionate, gentle and inquisitive. He has lots of nicknames (Kellerman, My Kellercat, Mr. Kellerman, Keller Cuddles, KellerBells, KB). I can’t wait to get home every day to see him. He sleeps on my pillow every night. I know I am biased but I think he might be the most handsome cat I have ever seen!
